Sulphonated Asphalt
SR-ASPHALTIC is a high molecular weight hydrocarbon compound of a sodium salt of sulphonate asphalt. It is black free-flowing flake material. SR-ASPHALTIC is soluble in water, the water-insoluble portion is soluble in oil. This property gives sulphonate asphalt an excellent emulsifying characteristic. It is also highly resistant to temperature.
The following concentration of Sulphonated asphalt are recommended:
- For high temperature high pressure filtration control: 2.0 to 6.0 ppb (5.7 to 17.1 kg/m)
- For shale stabilization: 2.0 to 8.0 ppb (5.7 to 22.8 kg/m)
- To reduce torque and drag: 2.0 to 6.0 ppb (5.7 to 17.1 kg/m)
- As an emulsifier of diesel oil: 0.8 to 3.0 ppb (2.3 to 8.6kg/m)
- Asa substitute of diesel: 2.0 to 6.0 ppb (5.7 to 17.1 kg/m)
